EUROfusion has selected dr. Anže Založnik to participate in the 1 year EU-US collaborative Experiments in the PISCES-B Facility, University of California, San Diego

Specific tasks have been defined under the EUROfusion Work Package on Plasma Facing Components (WP PFC) for which the usage of linear facilities able to handle beryllium, such as PISCES-B, is necessary. For the 2017-2018 EU-US collaboration in the PISCES-B Facility three tasks were specified. We will study Be erosion as a function of D plasma flux, D retention in damaged Be and D retention saturation at high fluences in W:Be mixed layers.
